Stockport Mile

Sunday 2nd July 2023

Event Details

Stockport Moves is a family friendly celebration of movement being held in an around the town centre on Sunday 2nd July 2023 from 10am - 3pm. Check out our Promo Reel from last year here

The day will feature the Stockport Mile event as well as an interactive event village in St Peter’s Square, offering a wide range of fun activities for all ages and abilities - and what’s more, it’s all completely free! So if you’re looking for something to occupy the kids for a while and burn off some of their energy, Stockport Moves in the perfect place.

The Stockport Mile is the flagship event of the day. It’s a free to enter mile run around the town centre that is mostly flat and is fully accessible to wheelchairs, adapted trikes and buggies. That makes it perfect for families to enjoy together or for those of you looking to try something new on your own or with friends – and everyone gets a medal at the end, even the babies in the buggy!

Stockport Moves kicks off at 10am with the Stockport Mile setting off at 11am, so there’s plenty of time beforehand to check out the stalls in the Event Village and watch the nail-biting stunts performed by the Extreme Mountain Bike Show. It’s well worth hanging around after you’ve collected your medal too so you can watch the best of Greater Manchester's club runners compete on the same course in the inaugural Men’s and Women’s ‘Race the Town’ events.

Refund Policy

Refunds

Organising a race incurs considerable costs which are met a long time before race day and so individual refunds will only ever be issued at the Race Organiser’s discretion. For a refund to be considered, full details must be emailed to us for consideration within a reasonable time frame of the event.

We do not refund any admin fees that were applied on top of the base Entry fee paid.

Cancellations

We hold the rights to amend/cancel any aspect of an event at late notice. Cancellation will only ever be a last resort for us, and we will always take direction on event cancellations from government agencies (e.g. the Met Office for weather related incidents) and the National Governing Body concerned, in addition to our assessment of the local conditions.
In the event of any cancellation, if it possible to reschedule the event to a different date in the same calendar year then all entries will be automatically transferred to the new date. Deferrals and transfers will be permitted for the rescheduled event.

Where an event cannot be rescheduled, committed contractors will be paid and remaining funds will be offered as partial refunds.
